Theme of the Week: The God Who Shows
Bible Verse: “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14, ESV
Scripture Reading: John 1:1-18
When my son was in kindergarten, he was asked to bring his favourite item for a Show and Tell at school. He didn’t hesitate and chose his Lego creation and his homemade stuffy. I tried to put myself in his shoes – at my age, not his – and I confess a wave of insecurities fell on me. What will people think? Will they like it? Will they think it is cool?
Show and Tell requires a lot of vulnerability!
God did not hesitate to show himself in creation. God makes himself vulnerable. This week, we will unpack how God reveals himself and what this means to us.
