How to Be a Man that is Rooted | 2024 Conference Recap

In Podcast, Spiritual Growth by Jordan Harnum

In this episode Jordan unpacks lessons from the recent Impactus Men’s Conference in Brampton, Ontario.

The theme of the conference was “Rooted”.

Did you know the deepest roots extend 1,200 feet underground? Or that the mighty redwoods have shallow roots but gain strength by intertwining with others? These fascinating examples reflect the central question we explored:

What does it look like for a man to be rooted?

Above the surface, men often show their hard work, leadership, and care for others. But what about beneath the surface—the parts of our lives no one sees?

In this episode you will hear Jordan’s thoughts on three key moments from the event. They include:

1. Finu Iype on Being Rooted in Christ – Learn why rooting your life in Jesus means removing idols and trusting in Him as your firm foundation. Discover why “everyone worships,” and how misplaced worship can eat you alive.

2. Dustin Boreland on Being Rooted in Truth – Explore how to anchor yourself in Scripture amid cultural confusion and spiritual warfare. Hear his warning: The devil roars loud but roams quietly.

3. Dwayne Cline on Being Rooted in Justice – Be stirred to action as he challenges us to engage with the brokenness around us, moving beyond judgment to bring God’s justice to a hurting world.
